This project involved comprehensive site preparation, bulk excavation, detailed excavation, and shoring for a modern residential development featuring two 5-6 level buildings constructed over a 2-3 level parkade on a 2,319.3m² net lot area. The project presented unique technical challenges, particularly the excavation of a sandstone substratum extending approximately 5 vertical meters in depth. To overcome this challenging geological condition, Asara deployed specialized equipment including a Volvo 480 mounted percussion ripper (Xcentric), demonstrating their capability to handle difficult subsurface conditions efficiently. All excavation work was executed with precision using Asara's excavators equipped with onboard GPS technology, ensuring accuracy in site preparation and maintaining tight tolerances critical for the multi-level parkade foundation. This combination of advanced equipment and technical expertise allowed for efficient site development while maintaining the highest standards of precision required for modern residential construction.
